Banquet hall capacity calculator

These are the tops the event floor plan planner actually draws, with the center spacing that keeps a 60 inch chair-back aisle. The drawing under the table shows one pair at 59 inches, in red, and one pair at 60 inches, clear.

59 in 60 in

Centers of the red pair are 155 inches apart. Each top has a 30 inch radius and an 18 inch chair, so the open gap is 155 minus 96, which is 59. The clear pair is one inch farther, and 60 is not a violation.

Rounds: 60, 66, and 72 inches

Comfortable seats are what the fit calculator multiplies. Maximum seats are what a planner may still place. The seat control on a 60 or 72 inch round clamps between 8 and 12. A 66 inch top is in this table even though the symbol library jumps from 60 to 72.

Center spacing for a round is diameter plus 18 plus 60 plus 18. That is why 60 inches of table becomes 156 inches between centers, and 72 inches becomes 168. The 66 inch top lands on 162.

Wall inset is the center’s distance from the wall when the chair back still has 36 inches of clearance. For a 60 inch round that is radius 30 plus chair 18 plus 36, which is 84 inches. A 72 inch round needs 90. A 66 inch round needs 87.

What those numbers do in a real hall

Run the banquet room layout planner and a 60 by 40 foot room returns 12 of the 60 inch rounds at 8 seats, 96 guests. The same hall in metres is still 12 tables. The packed wedding preset places 15 rounds of 10 and shows 25 red pairs.

An 80 by 50 foot room fits 15 of the 72 inch rounds at 10 seats, 150 guests. The gala preset places 24 on purpose. Thirty-seven pairs fall under 60 inches, and the closest gap is 12 inches. That is a drawing, not a permission to ignore the hall’s own rules.

A 50 by 30 foot room fits ten separate 6 foot banquet tables at 6 seats, 60 guests. The rustic preset uses 8 foot tables in two joined runs and seats 80, with the path between the runs exactly 60 inches.

A 14 foot square is the smallest side that still holds one 60 inch round under this inset. Two times 84 inches is 168 inches, which is 14 feet. The count is one table and 8 guests.

Cocktail rounds are a different top. They are 30 inches across, with 12 inch stools and 4 seats. They are not in the fit table because the service math above assumes an 18 inch banquet chair. On the garden sheet they are drawn, and the gap to the round above them is 13 inches.

Classroom tables are 72 by 18 inches with three seats on the +y side only. The training room spaces them so the chair-back gap is exactly 60 inches. They do not use the banquet pitch in the table above.

Head tables are 72 by 30 inches. The classic one has zero guest seats, so it does not consume a number in the seating list. Chairs still project on the +y side and can turn a nearby round red.

Joined banquet ends share a run and are not flagged for touching. That is the barn. Two 8 foot tables in the same run meet at the ends. The aisle that matters is the one between the runs.

Doors are marks, not clearance objects. A stage, a dance floor, a bar, a buffet, and an AV console do take part in the pair check, but they do not grow a chair band. Only the seated sides of a table expand.

Switching the planner to metres compares the inch gap times 0.0254 with 1.5 metres and 0.9 metres. The labels read 1.5 m, 0.9 m, and 0.45 m. A gap of exactly 1.5 metres is clear, just as 60 inches is clear.

None of these colors is a fire-code or ADA certificate. They are the service path this desk paints. The venue’s own drawing and the local rule still govern the night.

Seat the people on the wedding seating chart maker or print cards from the table plan template. Meal words for the kitchen are on the event seating chart generator checklist, and they are not medical advice.

If you only remember one row: 60 inch round, 8 comfortable, 10 on the classic preset, 156 inches center to center, 84 inches off the wall. Twelve of those fill a 60 by 40 foot hall. Fifteen of them is a packed plan, and the rings will say so.
